10 May (Wed): Opening of Living Fisher Village
R.U.M. had fun sharing about mangroves to visitors who came for the opening of the Living Fisher Village.
R.U.M. had a little booth at the Village, with examples of mangrove products that you can find in the supermarket. And durian flowers! Phillip is proving that yes, humans can eat durian flowers.

14 May (Sun): Tua Pek Kong's birthday dinner
Thanks to Phillip Lim of Sea Angels, R.U.M. is represented at this community dinner at Pulau Ubin celebrating Tua Pek Kong's birthday. It was a great time to get to know the Ubin community.
20 May (Sat): Mini-fair in support of the Pesta Ubin Run 2017
Thanks to Chen Xi for putting together a last minute R.U.M. booth at the mini-fair in support of the Pesta Ubin Run which attracted many people who have not visited Ubin before.
And to Cheryl and Liz for coming to help explain to the nearly 500 people who came.

3 Jun (Sat): Balik Chek Jawa
R.U.M. volunteers also celebrated Chek Jawa Open House on 3 Jun (Sat) with volunteers from the Chek Jawa community. We reached out to the 700 visitors who came for the event.
R.U.M. set up the booth at House No. 1, the Chek Jawa Visitor Centre.
And R.U.M. volunteers were also stationed all over the boardwalk to share about Chek Jawa's amazing mangroves.
